Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW
The past 7 years gave me the awesome privilege of walking beside, and sitting with, individuals during what for some was the darkest moment of their life. I have partnered with children, teens, adults, and seniors - male and female of various ethnicities. One thing I have learned during this process is that people generally want to feel heard, valued, and cared for. As a Christian, it has been almost second nature for me to provide support in a compassionate manner because I understand that each individual is inherently valuable. I answer to the Creator and am guided by His principles. While my biblical worldview guides my practice, I am careful not to impose this on others who do not share a similar worldview. I welcome anyone with whom I can ethically and morally partner based on my areas of expertise.
I was trained at Florida Atlantic University, FAU, as a clinical social worker, after which I sought licensure in the state of Florida. I completed post graduate certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), various trauma modalities, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Grief Care. In addition, I am a firm believer in giving back to the professional community. As a result, I also offer Clinical Supervision for interns seeking clinical social worker licensure (LCSW) in the state of Florida.
